iPhone 4s to iOS 8 - its a Go-Go

I have upgraded my old iPhone 4S to iOS 8 a few days ago, and I can tell you with confidence that  it is safe to upgrade your device too.

Despite a tiny flaw, I didn't find something that could affect in any manner the decision in performing the upgrade. I didn't find in any way a battery drain bigger than the actual drain I already have with my original old battery.
There is something else, that you will need in order to upgrade to iOS 8 other than the will and desire to do it, and this is patience. The complete upgrade will take over 2 hours.

Before downloading the iOS 8 you will need to remove as much content and applications as you can (specially if your iPhone 4s is a 16GB iPhone) since you will need 4.5 GB free to start the process.

Free at least 4.5 GB to get ready
After removing all that content, you will be able to start the download and not before. By the way, the 2 hours process did not take into account the time you waste removing photos and apps.

Press Download and Install

After Pressing the Download and Install, just forget about your phone for the next 60 minutes...

Come back after 60 minutes just to tap on "Install"...

The Installation process will burn another hour of your life, so I advice you to go and return in another 60 minutes...

iPhone 6 Plus - Sounds like a winner

Despite what I said on the last post, I think the iPhone 6 Plus (together with the Apple Watch) will be in my possession soon.

The iPhone 6 Plus has some good features that will turn the device in an ultimate killer mobile device.

Optimal resolution of its Retina HD display (1920 x 1080)
Thin and nice design: Only 7.1 mm (Compared to the 8.9 mm of the LG G3 5.5 inch)

Shop your favorite magazines titles

The iPhone 6 Plus has some real advantages in font of other "phablet" devices and even when compared with the iPhone 6 itself.
The iPhone 6 Plus came with the optical stabilization feature that could give a good fight to other devices. There are not many devices with this feature (Other deivce with optical image stabilization is the Lumia 1020)

Another "Plus" is the 2915 mAh battery, which it almost doubled the battery of the iPhone 5s

In other matter, I am really excited about the "health" app and all what can be achieved through the iOS 8 Health and Fitness new features together with the apple watch.

iPhone 6 and Apple Watch - Little disappointment

Yesterday, Tim Cook announced the so expected iPhone 6 together with its big brother. Just as expected there were two iPhone presented, one of 4.7 inches big and the 5.5 inch phablet. Take a Look...

It looks great...but the black background prevents to perceive a design imperfection...It is the wide bezel. Now...take a look at the following image were actually you can see it clear.

iPhone 6 wide bezels
Not only the wide bezel is perfectly viewed, but also the black contour of the lcd display. much as I like white...I wouldn't be buying the white iPhone 6 device.

I'm not telling I won't buy the iPhone 6...actually I wanted it so much...but something changed.
If I buy the new iPhone, maybe I will go with the iPhone 6 Plus, not because the size, but because the battery life...Take a look.

As you can see, the iPhone 6 Plus has a larger battery life compared with the iPhone 5S and even with the iPhone 6 itself. Another interesting thing, is that the iPhone 6 plus, also has optical stabilization which allows take better photos.

What else...
Better focus (still 8 Mega pixel), new NFC (Near Field Communication) which drives the new Apple Pay payment system.

...And, No Sapphire?!, right. ion-strengthened glass only.

iPhone 6 - Best Leak so far!

Hi, This is the best authentic leaked part so far. It is the 4.7 inch front sapphire glass. This is brought by two of the most credible people I know in this field. We didn't know the front panel of the 4.7 inch iPhone 6 will be made of pure sapphire glass...actually, it was said that only the new iPhone phablet (AKA: iPhone 6 5.5 inch) will have it. And now we have this youtube video which shows Marques Brownlee playing with it (By the way..You're awesome Marques!), who actually got the production sapphire panel from Sonny Dickson.
Whatch the video (Over 2 million views in the very first day)

iPhone 6 will be released in late September and I'm so excited! We can see also the bezel is thinner than in the mock up itself!
